Writing format at OJC

  At OJC you will use APA format for writing your essays. The format that we use is from the American Psychological Association. Below is a document explaining paper formatting for essays at OJC, and there are two documents that are already formatted with the correct margins, headers, etc. You can download APA_Cover.doc or APA_No_cover.doc and write in your own essay.
  When you save your document, make sure you change the name of your document and save it on your memory stick or on your computer. It is best to name the file after your own name. For example, if your name is gTanakah and your paper is about gNGO lawsh, you might name the document: Tanaka NGO law.doc

The document above is the format if you use a cover or title page in your paper. Some instructors require you to use the cover page. To write your own paper, just erase the writing and write your information. Remember to change the Short Title at the top. You can change this in the Header/Footer menu of MS-Word. Replace the text "Short Title" with your short title. The page numbering function is already set.

The document above is the format if you do not use a cover or title page in your paper. Some instructors do not require you to use the cover page.
