Objectives:
This course will explore some causes of mental stress that people may
have in communicating with a foreigner and discuss how stress can damage
the human body and mind.

cultural differences. Japanese also encounter similar difficulties.
This course will explore these difficulties and examine how and why
people get stressed out and damaged both mentally and physically. Although

students are encouraged to discuss cultural differences between the
U.S. and Japan and norms of Japanese society and self-awareness, as
well as their own experiences.
